Solera is developing a footprint in  Africa with Sudan, Liberia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya, Algeria, Rowanda, Ughanda, Guinea, Gambia, Togo & Benin. Our projects in Africa include Mini-grids, Solar Water Pumping, Hybrid Systems and Solar Street Lights.

Our Team

  • Mostafa Mobarak

    Founding Partner

    Mostafa holds a Msc. of Business Administration from Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania & a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the American University Cairo. He has 10 years of experience in the field of management and finance, working as a financial analyst in the Central Bank of Egypt and as an Economic researcher in the ministry of Industry and Trade. With an expertise in the renewable energy market as an Engagement Manager in McKinsey & Co management consultancy. Mustafa is a founding partner of Solera and responsible for PV market consulting and business development.

  • Kamil Sayour

    Founding Partner

    Kamil holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the American University in Cairo. With an expertise in the energy sector as an Associate in McKinsey & Co management consultancy. He led the transformation of the field force of a major Telecom operator to focus on customer experience, resulting in a ~30% increase in customer satisfaction. Kamil leads the Off-grid and mini-grid commercial scale projects in Africa, and implemented ~2,000 m2 of solar solutions for the commercial sector in Egypt.
     

  • Mohamed K. Nageeb

    Program Manager

    Mohamed holds a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University. He is certified in PMP, RENAC and SEDA and with 10 years of experience in Renewable Energy. He executed a 1 MW renewable energy project in the GUC premises, 17 solar power projects in Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Mali, Senegal, Somaliland, Uganda, Ethiopia, Niger, Ivory coast, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Burkina Faso) in telecom sector in addition to executing the instrumentation and control activities for Sedi- Krir Combined cycle power plant. Mohamed is a Project Manager in Solera.

  • Karim Kamal Gabriel

    Business Development Specialist


    Karim holds a B.S. from the German University in Cairo in Materials Engineering. He is also RENAC certified as an off-grid solar system designer. Karim worked as a project and business development specialist for ELF Energy Egypt Solar Farm & ACE Moharram Bakhoum, with focus on Energy, Water and Transport in French Speaking African Countries. Karim is a project and business development specialist is Solera.

  • Pola Youssef

    Operation Manager

    Paula holds a B.Sc. from Tanta University in Electrical Engineering. He has 4 years of experience in installing different solar projects such as On-grid, Off-grid, Solar water pumps and Solar Street lights. He supervised projects for Amer Group and USAID. Paula is responsible for operations, site visits, installations and team supervision.
     

  • Sara Maged

    Sales Consultant

    Sara holds a B.S. in Networks Engineering from the German University in Cairo. She is a Sales Consultant in Solera, responsible for comprehension and evaluation of different solar energy systems concerning operation, design and power efficiency. Sara’s current experience revolves around designing large solar systems for the industrial sector in Egypt and Africa after analyzing load profiles. Also utilizing the solar thermal systems software TSOL to generate offers in the tourism sector.

  • Abrar Mohamed

    Sales Consultant

    Abrar holds a B.S. in Renewable Energy Engineering from Ain Shams University. Abrar is a sales consultant in Solera, responsible for calculating cost efficiency of Solar Energy Systems and evaluating the potential of these systems in Egypt and Africa. She also works on Pvsyst software to design different PV projects and identify forecasted outputs for commercial and industrial clients.

  • Mohamed Salah Elmasry

    Site Engineer

    Holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Zagazig University. He has 3 years of experience in solar energy site management for on-grid and off-grid solutions, with more than 1 MW of installations. Mohamed installed more than 350 KW of on-grid PV projects for the Egyptian public sector and more than 12 on-grid sites for Vodafone Egypt. His role in Solera is a Site Manager for projects in Egypt and abroad.

  • Mohamad Abd El- Zaher

    Site Engineer

    Holds a B.S. degree in Engineering from Helwan University. He has 4 years of experience in PV solar plants mounting structure with more than 1 MW of installations including Gamasa land plant  Aluminum Structure "1000 KW“, AOI land plant "400 KW“ & Cairo governorate administrative building "185 KW". Mohamed’s role in Solera is site management in Egypt and abroad, in addition to supporting design work and offers preparations.
